Klaviyo adds SQL answers to Composer and its MCP server, showing the definition and query behind each one
What changed
SQL in Klaviyo Data Platform is live. Klaviyo turns a plain-language question, like what share of customers never make a second purchase, into SQL using its own definitions of terms like revenue, then runs it on your account data. It returns the answer along with the definition and query it used. You can ask in Composer or through the Klaviyo MCP server from Claude, ChatGPT or your own agent, and Klaviyo says the same question should return the same answer in any of them. Before this, Composer could only answer questions its pre-built skills covered.
What to do
Before you rely on it, ask it for a number you already trust, like repeat-purchase rate or last month's flow revenue, and check that its revenue definition (gross or net, refunds in or out) matches your reporting.
