Google Ads API access moves to Google Cloud projects, and developer tokens are being phased out
What changed
API sign-up now happens in Google Cloud Console without a manager account, access levels attach to Cloud projects, and developer tokens become optional, to be rejected in a future major version. Pending Basic access applications were closed and must be resubmitted.
What to do
If you build in-house Google Ads tooling, confirm your Cloud project shows the right access level, and update owner and editor contacts to receive service announcements.
