Google Ads adds channel priority and budget caps, and the Display setup on Search changes in Feb 2027
…
Until Feb 2027 (midnight ET)
What changed
New optional controls rolling out across Search, Shopping, Performance Max and Demand Gen let you mark channels like Search partners or the Display Network as High or Low priority, and cap Low-priority channels at a maximum percentage of daily budget, on a best-effort basis. Starting February 2027, Search campaigns with the Display Network turned on lose the current spend allocation setup.
What to do
Find Search campaigns with Display Network on. To keep today's behavior after Feb 2027, Google says to set Display to Low priority with a 50% budget allocation.
