Shopify stores now ask shoppers to confirm before sending them to a website outside your store

What changed

Shopify's online store now shows customers a short message with the destination address before it sends them to a website outside your store. They can continue or go back. Domains connected to your store and supported Shopify and social websites don't trigger the message, but websites you own that aren't connected to your store might.

What to do

Click through every link on your store that leaves it, such as a subscription portal, quiz, wholesale or partner site, booking page or a second brand domain. If the warning appears on a step in your funnel, connect that domain to your store where you can, or move the step, so shoppers don't drop off at the extra screen.
