Klaviyo Location Hub: store records, proximity segments and in-store revenue from Shopify POS
What changed
Klaviyo's Location Hub (Audience > Locations and Live Events) lets you add stores and other physical locations manually, by CSV, from Shopify, or through an AI assistant via Klaviyo's MCP server. Each location gets proximity segments (default: profiles within 30 miles, filtered by email, SMS, push or WhatsApp consent; up to 20 segments per location) and a profile property such as store_region that tags everyone in them. Linking Shopify POS locations fills a Performance tab with in-store purchases, gross and net revenue, refunds and campaign-to-purchase funnels. This needs 'Sync Shopify Markets to Klaviyo' turned on in the Shopify integration, even if you don't use Markets, and orders can only be attributed back to July 24, 2026. Revenue is calculated from Placed Order events, and only the location name syncs nightly.
What to do
If you have retail stores, pop-ups or stockists, turn on Shopify Markets sync in Klaviyo, import one to three locations from Shopify POS and check the proximity segments and in-store revenue before using them for local launch or event campaigns. Check templates and flows before renaming the shared location property.
