Shopify adds channel mapping: choose which product fields feed each sales channel's titles, images and categories
What changed
A new channel mapping page lets you preview and change the product data Shopify sends to each sales channel. Each channel field (title, images, product category, color and so on) has a default source field that you can change, and you can combine fields, for example "product title - brand" so the brand shows in the listing title. Changes apply to every product on that channel, you can override any field per product per channel, and bulk edit many products and variants at once. Each field shows a coverage percentage so you can find missing values.
What to do
If you run Google Shopping/PMax or Meta catalog ads from Shopify's channels, open channel mapping and check coverage for title, category and color. Add the brand to titles where it helps, and fill the gaps the coverage numbers show. Change one channel at a time and watch feed diagnostics in Merchant Center or Commerce Manager after each change.
